A ZAZ sports car and rare Mercedes: the best retro cars at the Old Car Land 2025 festival in Kyiv
The Old Car Land 2025 Festival in Kyiv was a true celebration for lovers of classic cars and vintage vehicles. Ukraine’s largest auto show brought together hundreds of unique exhibits—from Soviet “Zaporozhets” to luxurious Mercedes-Benz cars, from rare motorcycles to vintage buses.
Old Car Land in Kyiv: Ukraine’s Largest Retro Car Festival
The Old Car Land technical festival is being held in Kyiv for the 17th time. This year, it took place on September 27–28 at the “Wheels of History” Auto Museum (1 Malynska St.). Here, guests were able to see both the museum’s permanent exhibits and new, unique cars brought in specifically for the exhibition.

The “Zaporozhets” Anniversary and the Unique ZAZ Sports Car
Special attention was paid to the Ukrainian automotive industry. In 2025, the legendary “Zaporozhets” celebrated its 65th anniversary. The festival featured the ZAZ-965 and ZAZ-968, as well as the unique ZAZ Sport-900 sports car from the 1960s.
-
Only 6 units were ever produced;
-
streamlined fiberglass body;
-
test speed—over 120 km/h.
This is the only surviving ZAZ sports car in Ukraine, one that never went into mass production.

Exhibition Marking the 80th Anniversary of the Kyiv Motorcycle Plant
The Old Car Land Festival also celebrated the 80th anniversary of the Kyiv Motorcycle Plant (KMZ). A separate exhibition was organized for this occasion, showcasing motorcycles from different generations.

Mercedes-Benz 250SE and British Morgan: European Classics
The true highlight of the exhibition was a 1966 Mercedes-Benz 250SE W111. This executive coupe, previously owned by the director of the Port of Hamburg, underwent a professional restoration in Ukraine.
No less interesting was the rare Morgan Four Seater—a four-seater coupe designed in the style of the 1930s but produced today using vintage technologies.
