Zeekr 9X: the most powerful hybrid SUV of 2025 with a record 70 kWh PHEV battery

Geely's premium sub-brand — Zeekr — has officially unveiled the new hybrid flagship Zeekr 9X 2025, which has become the most advanced PHEV model in the company's history and the entire industry. The car received a battery of 70 kWh — a record for plug-in hybrids — and three electric motors with a total output of 1381 hp.

Powertrain and battery:
The Zeekr 9X is built on the new SEA-S (Haohan-S) platform and equipped with a hybrid system with a 2.0-liter Aurora Bay DHE20-PFZ gasoline turbo engine (275 hp), as well as three silicon-carbide electric motors (1030 kW or 1381 hp).
The model's main feature — a 70 kWh CATL Freevoy battery operating at 900 V. This is the largest battery among all passenger PHEVs. The electric range — is up to 302 km on the CLTC cycle, and fast charging from 20 to 80% takes just 9 minutes.
When and where to buy the Zeekr 9X:
Pre-sales of the 2025 Zeekr 9X start at the Chengdu Auto Show in late August. Sales in China are planned for Q3 2025.
