A rich selection of American-made cars
Cars manufactured in the United States established their presence in the global automotive market in the mid-20th century. Thanks to the introduction of assembly-line production at the beginning of the last century, there were more than 2,000 automobile brands. During the Great Depression, the “Big Three” of Detroit—Ford, General Motors (GM), and Chrysler—emerged. After World War II, they accounted for three-quarters of all passenger cars produced. The key factors behind their success were their large bodies, spacious interiors, and eye-catching designs. The affordability and reliability of these cars brought them worldwide popularity.
The emergence of the concept of environmental sustainability marked a new phase in the development of the automotive industry. Automakers are gradually beginning to replace internal combustion engines with battery-powered electric motors. Tesla is the undisputed leader in this niche. Its models attract buyers with their technological features and stylish design.
The Legendary General Motors
The largest automotive corporation in the U.S. has been targeting European and Asian markets since the early 2000s. It acquired stakes in Fiat, Subaru, and Daewoo. The company was able to weather financial difficulties thanks to government support. In 2022, General Motors sold 2.25 million cars in the domestic market alone. Today, its factories produce the brands most popular among Americans.
Chevrolet—the Pride of the U.S.
GM was established as an independent division in 1911. The brand didn’t appear on European car markets until 2010. But five years later, management decided to reserve the brand exclusively for high-end American models. As a result, production of these cars was discontinued in many European countries.
Premium Cadillac
With a history spanning more than 120 years, the brand has become famous for its luxury vehicles. The division has developed many automotive innovations, including the famous V8 engine. It subsequently became the standard in the American auto industry and is installed in powerful SUVs.
Affordable Buick for the Middle Class
The company was founded in 1902. Six years later, it became part of GM. Its cars are in high demand in the North American and Asian markets. Initially, the brand produced premium-class vehicles. Now, production is geared toward middle-income consumers. Bex Auto has used cars in good condition available for $4,000–$6,000.
GMC – a brand of commercial vehicles
This division primarily specializes in the production of vans, pickup trucks, and trucks. They are well known in the U.S., Canada, and the Middle East. In Europe, these vehicles have not gained popularity. Since 2010, Hummer SUVs have become a subbrand of GMC. Thanks to their high ground clearance, they easily navigate the most challenging roads. The lineup also includes electric pickups.
Ford Cars: A Combination of Style and Durability
Founded by Henry Ford in 1903, the company remains a family-owned business to this day. The lineup includes sedans, coupes, SUVs, crossovers, and hybrids. The Ford Fiesta, Focus, and Fusion are popular among Ukrainians.
Lincoln—the presidential car
The brand’s history began in 1917. It was named in honor of Abraham Lincoln. Many U.S. presidents have preferred to ride in these limousines. Since the early 2000s, the division has been producing luxury SUVs for residents of North and South America and the Middle East. Sales in China began in 2014.
Production of mid-range vehicles
In 1938, Ford introduced a separate brand, Mercury, which was positioned as a mid-range option between the premium “Lincoln” models and mass-market cars. Despite producing fairly popular models (Sable, Cougar), the division was shut down.
Chrysler’s Difficult Journey
The company’s history began in 1925, and three years later, the Dodge and Plymouth brands—beloved by Americans—were introduced. In the second half of the 20th century, it became part of the European Daimler-Benz Group. Since 2021, the brand has been part of Stellantis NV, which ranks fourth in the world in terms of vehicle production. The Chrysler 300 became the most popular model among Americans.
Comfortable Jeep SUVs
The vehicle won the hearts of car enthusiasts by combining off-road capability with the design of a passenger car. The first model was built in 1940, and by the end of the war, production had reached over 500,000 units. This automotive brand, which specializes in producing high-quality SUVs and crossovers, is owned by Stellantis NV. The Cherokee, first introduced in 1974, remains a popular model.
Dodge and Plymouth—Legends of the U.S. Auto Market
Dodge was originally founded to manufacture auto parts, but beginning in 1914, it shifted its focus to producing vehicles. For nearly 50 years, the brand was owned by Chrysler, which also owned the Plymouth brand. After Chrysler merged with a French company, Dodge became part of a European corporation. The brand’s lineup includes SUVs, sports cars, and minivans. Plymouth cars have become classics, as production ceased in 2001. Neither brand is popular in Europe, but Americans value them for their high build quality and reliability.
Tesla: Keeping Pace with Cutting-Edge Technology
With 20 years of experience, the company focuses on producing electric vehicles powered by lithium-ion batteries. They are quiet, comfortable, equipped with the latest technology, environmentally friendly, and look stylish. The Tesla Model 3 is considered the most popular model in the world. Sales of this sedan have exceeded 900,000 units. You can purchase such a car, whether new or used, at auctions for $25,000–$45,000.
Bex Auto specializes in purchasing cars of various makes abroad and delivering them to Ukraine. All you need to do is choose the model you like, and we’ll handle the purchase at foreign auctions. The process may take up to 3 months.
