Avatr is preparing the 857-hp T09 flagship: the huge crossover gets three screens and a 330 km range

The Chinese brand Avatr will expand its lineup with the new T09 flagship crossover. The large six-seater vehicle, measuring over 5.2 meters in length, will feature a plug-in hybrid powertrain, all-wheel drive, and will be capable of producing up to 857 l.s.
The new Avatr T09 is scheduled to hit the market by the end of 2026. The model will be the most expensive in the brand’s lineup, which was developed in collaboration with Changan, CATL, and Huawei.
What Sets the New Avatr T09 Apart
Unlike other Avatr models with smooth, streamlined shapes, the T09 features a more imposing design.
The crossover features a high hood, a nearly vertical front end, a wide grille, and distinctive C-shaped headlights. Two-tone body color options will also be available for the model.
In terms of dimensions, the Avatr T09 belongs to the class of large premium family crossovers.
Model dimensions:
- length — 5,285 mm;
- width — 2,025 mm;
- height — 1,820 mm;
- wheelbase — 3,150 mm;
- weight — from 2,880 to 3,035 kg.
Thanks to a wheelbase of over 3.1 meters, the interior features three rows of seats and six passenger seats.

Three Screens and Driver-Focused Technology
The Avatr T09’s dashboard features a modern digital design. The cabin is equipped with three displays.
Even the base trim level of the crossover comes standard with 21-inch wheels, a dashcam, and a semi-autonomous driving system.
As a result, the T09 is positioned not simply as a large family car, but as the brand’s high-tech premium flagship.
Up to 857 l.s. and all-wheel drive
The Avatr T09 will be offered exclusively in all-wheel-drive plug-in hybrid versions.
The base model will feature a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine and two electric motors. The total power output of this powertrain reaches 666 l.s., and the claimed average fuel consumption is 6.5 l/100 km.
The more powerful variant will be equipped with a 2.0-liter engine and three electric motors. Its powertrain delivers 857 l.s. The claimed fuel consumption is approximately 7 l/100 km.
The top speed of both versions is limited to 220 km/h.

Up to 330 km without using gasoline
One of the Avatr T09’s key features is its large 71.2 kWh traction battery.
Depending on the version, the crossover will be able to travel between 300 and 330 km on electric power alone. For a large plug-in hybrid vehicle weighing about three metric tons, this is a very significant figure.
Thus, during daily city drives, the owner will be able to use the T09 practically as an electric vehicle for a significant portion of the time, engaging the gasoline engine primarily during long-distance trips.
Air Suspension and Rear-Wheel Steering
The large crossover is equipped with air suspension, which should improve comfort on rough roads and allow for adjustable ground clearance.
Another feature will be a fully steerable chassis. The rear wheels are capable of turning, which should improve the maneuverability of a vehicle of this size.
In addition, the design allows the vehicle to perform unusual sideways maneuvers.
The Avatr T09 will be one of the brand’s largest and most powerful models. The combination of a six-seat interior, an 857-silny powertrain, a large battery, and premium features should help the new model compete in the rapidly growing segment of high-end Chinese electric crossovers.
