The electric Lucid Gravity gets a record-breaking range

Lucid Motors has officially announced that its new Gravity electric crossover has received EPA certification, and its range exceeded expectations. Instead of the previously stated 700 km, the Grand Touring model is capable of traveling up to 724 km on a single charge. This makes the Lucid Gravity one of the electric SUVs with the longest range in the U.S.
The Gravity is equipped with a 118 kWh battery, similar to the one used in the Lucid Air sedan. By comparison, the Rivian R1S (Gen 2) with a 140 kWh battery has a range of 660 km. Lucid Motors emphasizes that it achieved these results thanks to the high efficiency of its powertrains, while using fewer rare earth materials than its competitors.

This result once again confirms Lucid’s leadership in the premium electric SUV segment. However, despite its impressive range, the Gravity remains one of the most expensive vehicles in its class. Prices for the Rivian R1S Max Pack start at $89,900, while the Lucid Gravity in the Touring trim, which will be available in late 2025, will start at $79,900.
Production of the Lucid Gravity has already begun at the company’s plant in Arizona. The first unit, with VIN 001, rolled off the assembly line last week. Deliveries are expected to begin in the U.S. in late 2025 and in Europe in the summer of 2026.
While sales of the Lucid Air have not met expectations so far, the company hopes that the Gravity will be a more successful model thanks to increased demand for electric SUVs.
