Geely Geome Xingyuan EV: an electric car with an affordable price and advanced specs
On October 9, Geely officially unveiled its new electric vehicle, the Geome Xingyuan EV, which is available in five trim levels and two series: Xingyuan and Xingyuan Up. This innovative electric car is distinguished by its affordable price, which ranges from 69,800 to 98,800 yuan (approximately $9,900–$14,000). The model is available in two versions with different CLTC-rated ranges: 310 km and 410 km, allowing customers to choose the best option for their specific needs.
Geely announced at the presentation that the Geome model will become part of the Geely Galaxy premium lineup, combining smart technology with stylish design. The Geome Xingyuan’s rounded, flowing design is particularly eye-catching; according to company representatives, it was inspired by a “smile.”
The Geome Xingyuan measures 4,135 mm in length, 1,805 mm in width, and 1,570 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,650 mm. The car seats up to five passengers, ensuring a comfortable ride for the whole family. The version with a 310-km range has a power output of 58 kW (78 l.s.) and 130 N·m of torque, while the 410-km version delivers 85 kW (114 l.s.) and 150 N·m. The top speed reaches 140 km/h, and acceleration to 50 km/h takes just 3.9 seconds, ensuring a dynamic start on city streets.
The Geome Xingyuan is equipped with state-of-the-art CATL lithium iron phosphate batteries with a capacity of 30.12 kWh for the 310-km version and 40.16 kWh-h for the 410-km version. Thanks to fast-charging support, charging from 30% to 80% takes just 21 minutes, making this electric vehicle an ideal choice for an active urban lifestyle. The car also supports 3.3 kW power sharing, adding functionality to the demands of modern life.
In terms of safety, the Geome Xingyuan is equipped with advanced driver-assistance systems, such as adaptive cruise control and automatic emergency braking. The car’s interior features a symmetrical design and includes an 8.8-inch LCD instrument panel, while the center screen is available in two sizes—10.1 or 14.6 inches—depending on the trim level.
The car offers plenty of storage space, including 36 compartments for small items, a 70-liter front trunk, and a 375-liter main trunk that can be expanded to 1,320 liters, providing ample space for both travel and daily commutes.
