Hyundai Ioniq 9: South Korea's answer to the Toyota Land Cruiser
South Korean automaker Hyundai has unveiled its largest SUV—the Hyundai Ioniq 9. This new addition to the Ioniq lineup is set to be a formidable competitor to the legendary Toyota Land Cruiser, offering cutting-edge technology, luxurious design, and outstanding performance.
Dimensions and Design: Grandeur and Style
The Hyundai Ioniq 9 is a premium electric SUV with impressive dimensions:

- Width: about 2 meters.

- Wheelbase: designed for maximum passenger comfort.

The Ioniq 9 is equipped with a 110.3 kWh battery pack. The base Long Range model is equipped with a single electric motor driving the rear wheels, while Hyundai also offers a dual-motor Long Range variant and a dual-motor Performance model.
The single-motor Long Range model delivers 215 l.s., the dual-motor Long Range version delivers 310 l.s., and the Performance model delivers 430 l.s. The fastest Ioniq 9 accelerates to 96 km/h in 4.9 seconds and has a top speed of 200 km/h.

Every version of the Ioniq 9 will have a range of over 480 km. When connected to a 350 kW DC fast charger, charging from 10% to 80% will take just 24 minutes. The Ioniq 9 has a maximum towing capacity of 2,200 kg.
The interior has enough space for six or seven people, depending on the configuration; second-row passengers will enjoy Hyundai Relaxation Seats with Dynamic Touch Massage. The first and second rows fold down completely, and the second row rotates so you can face the passengers in the third row (but only when the car is stationary).

The driver and front passenger have access to two 12.0-inch screens. An audio system with eight speakers comes standard, while a Bose system with 14 speakers is available as an option.
The drag coefficient is 0.259 Cd. By comparison, the Tesla Model X has a drag coefficient of 0.24 Cd.

The Hyundai Ioniq 9 will cost around $50,000. The three-row electric vehicle will go on sale early next year.
