Crossovers, electric cars and sports cars: the best cars in the world for 2025 have been named
Ten cars from various classes have made it to the finals of the World Car of the Year competition. Among them are crossovers, compact city cars, and sports cars.
The finalists for the World Car of the Year award have been announced. Ten 2025 models will compete for the title, according to the competition’s website.
Cars from various classes have made it to the finals, selected by the jury from among 52 models. Half of the contenders are crossovers and SUVs, but the list also includes sedans, compact city cars, and sports cars. There are only three electric vehicles on the list.
Finalists for the World Car of the Year award:

- Ford Mustang;
- Hyundai Inster;
- Kia EV3;
- Mini Cooper Electric;
- Suzuki Swift;
- Toyota Camry;
- Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 250;
- Volkswagen Tiguan/Tayron.
