Following the May presentation of its new system, BYD has been actively working to integrate DM 5.0 technology into its vehicles. Details about the 2025 BYD Tang DM-i have now been revealed.
The BYD Tang DM-i 2025 measures 4,870 mm in length, 1,950 mm in width, and 1,725 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,820 mm. According to data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of China, the vehicle weighs over two metric tons (2,130 kg) and is equipped exclusively with 20-inch wheels. The approach and departure angles are 22 degrees.
The Tang DM-i 2025 is equipped with DM 5.0 technology, featuring a 1.5-liter BYD472ZQB engine producing 156 l.s. and an electric motor delivering 271 l.s. It is equipped with a Blade lithium-iron-phosphate battery from BYD FinDreams. The claimed fuel consumption is 3.8 L/100 km, and the total range reaches 1,350 km.
