Top 10 epic car debuts of 2019
This was a year of so many new arrivals:
- the first fully electric Porsche,
- the first Aston Martin SUV,
- the first mid-engined Corvette,
- the first production car to reach 482 km/h,
- the first Mustang crossover, and an electric one at that.
Based on this, 2019 could become the most significant year in all of automotive history. This is an extremely bold statement. But as proof, take a look at the 10 new cars that shaped the automotive world.
Toyota Supra
A decade of hints and years of official teasers have finally come to an end. The new Supra was unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show in January 2019. For fans of Japanese sports cars this was quite a significant event. However, the new Supra has a new, unusual, extravagant design.
Porsche Taycan
After much observation and teasing, the Porsche Taycan prototype finally came to life in September. The Porsche is the first fully electric vehicle. It offers high performance, a well-thought-out design and a quality interior.
Chevrolet Corvette Stingray
The idea of a mid-engined Corvette was first floated more than half a century ago. And finally, the company brought it to life. To Chevrolet's credit, the car didn't disappoint. The sprint to 96 km/h is 3 seconds in the base model. And the price is $60,000.
Ford Mustang Shelby GT500
It took Ford two years to reveal the revived Shelby GT500. It has 760 horsepower. And the suspension is track-focused. However, it's also comfortable for everyday driving. It is the fastest production car from Ford.
Ferrari SF90 Stradale
A brand-new Ferrari is always something special. The Stradale is also the most powerful production Ferrari. And, even more surprisingly, it's a hybrid with a small electric range. Thanks to its 986 horsepower, the SF90 promises to become one of the most sought-after supercars of the '20s.

The car got 22-inch wheels with bright red brake calipers and carbon-ceramic discs.
Chevrolet Corvette C8.R
One of the highlights of SEMA 2019 was the Chevy Corvette C8.R. The racing version of the Corvette C8 has a 5.5-liter naturally aspirated mid-mounted V8 engine.
Bugatti Chiron Supersport 300+
Only a few buyers will get the accelerated Bugatti Chiron. The company plans to build just 30 examples. It has unrivaled performance, efficient aerodynamics and superb design.
Ford Mustang Mach-E
There's no denying that Ford's decision to badge it as a Mustang drew the attention of the whole world. Although many Mustang fans are unwilling to admit that a crossover can belong to this lineup. Technically, the newcomer has nothing in common with the regular Mustang. Although it resembles it in appearance. The electric Ford Mustang Mach-E crossover is offered with rear- or all-wheel drive, in four power variants and with two types of battery.
Tesla Cybertruck
It's impossible to overlook this car. It's the most sensational new arrival of the year. Elon Musk always puts on a show when it comes to debuting a new car. The new Tesla Cybertruck can surprise you not only with its stunning design, supercar-level dynamics or range of up to 800 km. Its arsenal – holds a whole set of innovations. Will the pickup really look like this in 2021? Unlikely, for safety reasons.
