Italy unveils an impressive supercar with a Mercedes engine, priced at 3 million euros.
The new Pagani Utopia Roadster is made of carbon fiber and titanium, and its interior features a steampunk design. The 864-silny twin-turbo V12 from Mercedes-AMG allows it to reach speeds of up to 350 km/h.
The Pagani Utopia lineup has expanded—a Roadster convertible has been added to the coupe. A total of 130 of these supercars will be produced, each costing 3.1 million euros. The car will make its public debut in August at a classic car show in California.
Externally, the Pagani Utopia Roadster resembles the coupe, retaining Pagani’s signature style with a front-mounted cabin, round headlights, and four exhaust pipes. The doors open upward.
The car is built on a carbon-fiber monocoque, and some components are made of titanium. The Pagani Utopia Roadster weighs just 1,280 kg. The car is also equipped with “smart” Pirelli tires featuring sensors that monitor tire condition and allow for adjustments to the electronic systems.
The steampunk-style interior of the Pagani Utopia Roadster impresses with its attention to detail; for example, the steering wheel is machined from a single piece of metal over the course of 28 hours, and the gearshift linkage is exposed. The trim features leather, aluminum, and carbon fiber.
Like the coupe, the new Pagani Utopia Roadster is powered by a 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12 from Mercedes-AMG. The engine produces 864 л. с. of power and 1,100 Н∙м of torque. It accelerates to 100 km/h in approximately 3 seconds, and its top speed is limited to 350 km/h. A choice of a 7-speed manual or automated manual transmission is available.
