Electric cars in Ukraine: demand has nearly doubled — the top 10 most popular models (May 2025)
The electric vehicle market in Ukraine continues to grow rapidly. In May 2025, Ukrainians purchased 1,257 new electric cars—a 93% increase compared to the same period last year. Compared to April, sales rose by 35%.

Demand for electric vehicles in Ukraine is growing rapidly
Of the 1,257 electric cars sold:

1,238 were passenger cars (+91% compared to May 2024);

19 were commercial electric vehicles, which is four times more than a year ago.
Chinese-made models have become the sales leaders, increasingly gaining ground in the Ukrainian auto market.

📅 Results for the first 5 months of 2025
In total, more than 4,200 new electric vehicles were sold in Ukraine from January through May 2025, which is 5% higher than the result for the same period in 2024.
At the same time, total new car sales also increased in May, indicating a resurgence of interest in the auto market as a whole.
