Kia EV4 GT: an electric answer to the VW Golf R with up to 400 hp and a 600 km range
Kia is preparing to launch a sporty version of its new electric hatchback—the Kia EV4 GT. This high-performance model will go head-to-head with the Volkswagen Golf R, Audi RS3, MG4 XPower, and Volkswagen ID.3 GTX, offering high power, all-wheel drive, and an impressive driving range.

Aggressive Design and Sporty Body Kit

The new 2026 Kia EV4 GT was first revealed in teaser images during the presentation of the standard EV4 model. Even under the camouflage, it’s clear that the sporty version features:

  • a redesigned front bumper;

  • extended aerodynamic body kit;

  • unique alloy wheels;

  • larger brake rotors.

The interior is expected to feature sport seats, a digital instrument cluster, and signature GT accents.

Kia EV4 GT Specifications

Under the hood is a dual-motor all-wheel-drive powertrain. Based on the standard EV4, it produces 313 l.s., but for the GT version, power is rumored to be increased to 400 forces.

An 81.4 kWh battery will provide a range of up to 600 km (WLTP).
Acceleration to 100 km/h is projected to take less than 5 seconds.
The suspension and differential will be retuned for a sporty driving style.
Kia will also equip the new model with simulated exhaust sound and gearshift simulation systems.

When Will the Kia EV4 GT Be Released?

The Kia EV4 GT will debut in 2026. The price of this sporty electric vehicle is expected to exceed 50,000 euros.

The model will become part of Kia’s new lineup of electric GT versions and will strengthen the brand’s position in the affordable sports EV segment.
