The new Mercedes GLC, the electric Skoda Octavia and the Porsche 911 Turbo S: the main premieres of the 2025 Munich auto show

The IAA Mobility 2025 international auto show in Munich (September 8–14) became one of the most anticipated car exhibitions in Europe. Despite the fact that the popularity of auto shows has declined in recent years, the event gathered dozens of world premieres — from new electric cars and hybrids to sports cars and crossovers. German Chancellor Friedrich Merz opened the exhibition, emphasizing the importance of events of this level for the global auto industry.
Electric cars and crossovers at IAA Mobility 2025
The overwhelming majority of the new arrivals in Munich — are electric cars and hybrids, but the auto show wasn't without sports cars and compact city models.

Audi Concept C
The Audi Concept C sports-car concept became a harbinger of the replacement for the legendary Audi TT. The 4.5 m coupe-convertible will get an electric powertrain from the future Porsche Boxster and Cayman.

BMW iX3 Neue Klasse
The BMW iX3 crossover became the first representative of the Neue Klasse family. The 4.8 m car got a modern design, two trunks and a 108.7 kWh battery with a range of up to 805 km.

CUPRA Tindaya
The aggressive CUPRA Tindaya concept hints at the appearance of a new flagship for the brand. Two electric motors provide acceleration to 100 km/h in 4.1 s, and a gasoline generator increases the range to 1000 km.

Mercedes GLC EQ
The new Mercedes GLC EQ was presented as an electric crossover. With a 490-hp powertrain it accelerates to a hundred in 4.3 s, and a 94 kWh battery provides a range of up to 713 km.

Opel Corsa GSE Vision GT
The Opel Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo prototype surprised with an 880-hp powertrain and acceleration to 100 km/h in just 2 s.

Polestar 5
The flagship Polestar 5 electric sedan got a sharp-edged design and a 884-hp version with acceleration to a hundred in 3.2 s.

Porsche 911 Turbo S Hybrid
For the first time the Porsche 911 Turbo S became a hybrid. Its 3.6-liter engine and electric motor put out 711 hp, acceleration to 100 km/h takes 2.5 s, and the top speed — is 322 km/h.

Renault Clio
The updated Renault Clio became bigger, got two screens in the cabin and expanded equipment with modern safety systems.

Skoda Vision O — the future Octavia EV
The Skoda Vision O — is a concept of the next Octavia. This electric wagon with a 600 km range and a trunk of up to 1700 l will be presented in a production version in the coming years.

Volkswagen T-Roc and ID.CROSS
The new Volkswagen T-Roc became roomier and got hybrid versions. The Volkswagen ID.CROSS electric crossover with a 420 km range will hit the market in 2026.

Results of IAA Mobility 2025
The main premieres of the Munich auto show were the Mercedes GLC EQ, Skoda Vision O, Porsche 911 Turbo S Hybrid and BMW iX3 Neue Klasse. The trend is obvious — automakers are betting on electrification, but at the same time not forgetting about sports cars and crossovers.
