The updated Mercedes GLB: first images of the affordable electric family crossover
The premiere of the new generation Mercedes GLB is scheduled for December 8, and the model is expected to hit the market in 2026. The manufacturer has already released the first official photo gallery, which offers a glimpse of the overall design of this affordable family crossover.
During climate testing, the electric version of the GLB became covered in a thick layer of ice—this hides the finer details but clearly outlines the brand’s signature silhouette. The electric GLB is expected to inherit its powertrains from the CLA: a rear-wheel-drive variant with approximately 272 l.s. and an all-wheel-drive version with 354 l.s. and an 85 kWh battery. In addition to all-electric variants, the lineup may include a hybrid model with a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine and a 48-volt mild-hybrid system.
