The new Land Rover Defender will come in three sizes

Previously, Land Rover offered its iconic Defender in three different sizes:

• the two-door 90 (with a 93-inch wheelbase)

• the four-door 110 (with a 110-inch wheelbase) and 
• the two-door 130 (a 127-inch wheelbase pickup)

Get ready: soon these three riders, in full force and updated, will return to conquer the world's auto industry.

This information was revealed when the company published its dealership presentation on a forum. The presentation sets out the main specifications and options for each of the three vehicles.

Naturally, the smallest is the 90, with a 101.8-inch wheelbase. The 110 and 130, however, will share a common 119-inch wheelbase. The 130 will be 13.5 inches longer to make room for seating. The 90 will be offered as both a five- and six-seater, while up to seven seats will be available for the 110.

As a result, the four-door 110 will arrive first, hitting the market in October. Those who want the 90 will have to wait until March 2020, while the 130 will arrive in August 2020 as a 2021 model.

The presentation slides also show the powertrain options. Buyers will have a choice between diesel and gasoline engines with a displacement of 2.0 or 3.0 liters, which, we suspect, will be new inline four- and six-cylinders from Jaguar Land Rover's Ingenium family. The most powerful Defender will be a plug-in hybrid, which will most likely combine a 296-hp turbocharged four-cylinder engine. 

Ultimately, the Defender will debut in September of this year at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
