A look at the 2020 Kawasaki lineup
Kawasaki has unveiled its lineup of dual-purpose off-road bikes for the 2020 model year. First of all, it's worth paying attention to the small new KLX230 with the following specs:
- single-cylinder
- four-stroke
- with electric start
- with a displacement of 233 cc
- a seat height of 34.8 inches
In addition, this model has a steel perimeter frame and ABS as an optional extra for $300. As for power, there is still no information on how much these 233 cc put out. Overall, the KLX230 with ABS costs $4,899, and without ABS - $4,599.
The rest of the KLX family is Kawasaki's lineup of friendly, dedicated off-road motorcycles. This lineup features several models:
- the brand-new KLX300R
- the KLX230R
- the KLX140 series
The KLX300R has the following data:
- 292 cc with fuel injection
- 6 speeds
- liquid cooling and electric start
- long-travel suspension
As a result, all this delivers a light, comfortable ride during long trips on the trail. This model will be available in late summer for $5,499.
The KLX230R is a more affordable, smaller motorcycle. Its 233 cc fuel-injected engine is air-cooled and has electric start. The Kawasaki KLX230R is fitted with full-size wheels and plenty of suspension travel, and will be sold for $4,399 later this summer.
The KLX140 series offers plenty of variety: the KLX140, 140L and 140G. The «G» designation indicates larger wheels and long-travel suspension, the «L» is a little smaller and lower, and the KLX140 is smaller still. Each of them has a four-stroke 144 cc engine with a five-speed gearbox, electric start and air cooling. The model's sizes are ideal for beginner riders, regardless of their height. Prices range from $3,099 to $3,699.
Finally, all 2020 Kawasaki motorcycles designed for motocross feature liquid-cooled two-stroke engines that deliver serious power.
