The new 2025 BYD Song Plus EV unveiled at a reduced price

The updated 2025 BYD Song Plus EV has been unveiled; it is available in China starting at $21,000 and offers a range of up to 605 km. The base price remains unchanged, but the price of the top-of-the-line trim has dropped by $2,000 to $24,600.


The 2025 BYD Song Plus EV features new 19-inch wheels and an illuminated BYD logo in place of the “Build Your Dreams” inscription. The interior is decorated in white and brown tones. The center console is equipped with a large 15.6-inch rotating screen, and an LCD instrument panel is located behind the steering wheel. The new version of the Song Plus EV uses the DiLink 100 OS system with support for voice commands and gestures. Options for a heated steering wheel and 50-watt wireless phone charging are also available.

The Song Plus EV measures 4,785 × 1,890 × 1,660 mm, with a wheelbase of 2,765 mm. In the 2025 model year, the Song Plus EV is equipped with more than 10 DiPilot ADAS driver-assistance systems, including automatic emergency braking and lane departure warning.

The powertrain of the 2025 Song Plus EV remains unchanged and is available in two variants:

• Front-wheel drive, 150 kW (201 l.s.) power output, 71.8 kWh LFP battery, 520 km range (CLTC);
• Front-wheel drive, 160 kW (215 l.s.) power, 87 kW·h LFP battery, 605 km range (CLTC).

The BYD Song Plus is also available in a hybrid version, which was released earlier.
