China has shown an affordable electric car with a 650 km range (photos)

The GAC Aion RT electric car is a sleek D-segment sedan with a fairly extensive list of features. The model will be available in versions with 204 and 224 л.с.

Official photos of the GAC Aion RT have been released. This budget-friendly electric car will be unveiled in China on September 26 and will go on sale immediately afterward at a price of approximately $20,000. 

The new GAC Aion RT is a D-segment electric sedan with an elongated, streamlined silhouette. It features a pronounced “nose,” slanted headlights, a sloping roof, and retractable door handles.


 

Dimensions of the 2025 GAC Aion RT:

• length — 4,865 mm;
• width — 1,875 mm;
• height — 1,520 mm;
• wheelbase — 2,775 mm.

The interior features a digital instrument cluster and a large touchscreen, and the front seats are separated by a tall center console. Standard features include climate control, a panoramic sunroof, wireless smartphone charging, and a semi-autonomous driving system (developed by NVIDIA).

The Chinese electric vehicle, the GAC Aion RT, will be available in front-wheel-drive versions with power outputs of 204 and 224 l. s. It will have a range of 650 km, and its 400-volt electrical system will allow the battery to be charged to 80% in fast-charging mode in half an hour.
