The American company Ford is developing a new electric vehicle platform, with the first models set to hit the market in 2026–2027. This was announced by Marina Gyadja, head of Ford’s Model e division, in an interview with the British publication Autocar.
Ford’s lineup of compact and affordable electric vehicles is expected to be based on a new architecture, with development led by former Tesla engineer Alan Clark. This platform could serve as the foundation for the spiritual successors to the Fiesta and Focus, the new Puma, and other small Ford vehicles.
