Premium Mercedes-Benz and BMW sedans can't do this. BYD has shown off the Yangwang U7's capabilities in new clips

BYD has shared videos demonstrating the capabilities of its Disus-Z suspension system in the Yangwang U7, which will compete with premium sedans from Mercedes-Benz and BMW.
In one video, a man controls a ball as he tries to navigate a maze mounted on the roof, while the Disus-Z active suspension is connected to a smartphone app. The “gamer” moves the phone, and thanks to the gyroscope, the suspension mimics the movements and tilts the car.

In another video, BYD demonstrated how the company solved the problem of unlocking hidden door handles and opening doors in freezing temperatures—specifically at -30°C, when the car is covered in ice. The handle breaks through the layer of ice, and when the driver taps on the door, it opens on its own.

The Yangwang U7 was unveiled at the Beijing Auto Show last year, and pre-sales began in November.

The Yangwang U7 PHEV is equipped with a plug-in hybrid system consisting of a 2.0-liter engine (model BYD4H20) and four permanent-magnet synchronous motors (models TZ220XYBC and TZ220XYBN) manufactured by BYD. The engine delivers a maximum power output of 200 kW (268 l.s.), while the four electric motors deliver either 260 kW (349 l.s.) or 240 kW (322 l.s.), bringing the total power output of the motors to 1,000 kW (1,341 l.s.). The top speed can reach 270 km/h.

The BYD Blade battery pack, with a capacity of 52.4 kWh, provides an all-electric range of 180 km. With a full tank of fuel and a fully charged battery, the total WLTC range can reach 1,000 km.
The Yangwang U7 PHEV measures 5,360 × 2,000 × 1,515 mm, respectively, with a wheelbase of 3,200 mm. Its curb weight is 3,223 kg, with an approach angle of 13° and a departure angle of 14°. The vehicle is equipped with 275/40R21 tires. The Yangwang U7 is also equipped with BYD’s new DiSus-Z intelligent body control system.
